Said Shaheen is an assistant professor at the Media Department, Hebron University and a lecturer at the Al-Quds Open University and Palestine Polytechnic University. Shaheen was head of the Media Department at Hebron University, 2013-2017. In addition to that, he was head of the local information section at the Palestinian Ministry of Information, 1997-2000. In 2005 and 2006, Shaheen became the director of media production at the Ministry of Information.

Now, as a researcher in the Palestinian media discourse, Shaheen has published a number of researches around media discourse and media freedoms. He is also a trainer of editorial and news coverage, preparing reports, conducting investigations and skills in documentary filmmaking.

Between 1997 and 2005, Shaheen worked as a freelance writer.

سعيد شاهين أستاذ مساعد في قسم الإعلام في جامعة الخليل، وقد شغل فيها منصب رئيس قسم الإعلام بين عامّي 2013 و2017.  إضافة إلى ذلك، يحاضر سعيد شاهين في جامعة القدس المفتوحة وجامعة بوليتكنك فلسطين. بين عامّي 1997 و2000، شغل منصب رئيس قسم الإعلام المحلي في وزارة الإعلام الفلسطينية وفي 2005 و2006 كان مدير الإنتاج الإعلامي في وزارة الإعلام.

سعيد شاهين باحث في الخطاب الإعلامي الفلسطيني ولديه مجموعة أبحاث محكمة ومنشورة في الخطاب الإعلامي والحريات الإعلامية. إضافة إلى كونه عضواً في منظمات إعلامية، سعيد مدرب في مجال التحرير والتغطية الإخبارية وإعداد التقارير والتحقيقات والأفلام الوثائقية. بين 1997 و2005، كان سعيد شاهين كاتبَ مقالٍ حر.
