Basma Atassi is Facebook's EMEA Partner Solutions Lead for News Partnerships, where she and her team focus on developing sustainable solutions for the news industry and help partners make the best out of the platform. Prior to Facebook, Basma was a Senior Producer at CNN. She has also previously worked as a news producer at Al Jazeera English and is the recipient of several journalism awards for her coverage of human-centred stories from the Middle East. Basma holds a master's degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the American University of Beirut.

بسمة أتاسي هي مديرة حلول الشراكات لقسم الأخبار في فيسبوك لدول أوروبا والشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا. تركّز في عملها مع فريقها على تطوير حلول مستدامة للقطاع الإخباري بما يساعد الشركاء على تحقيق الاستفادة القصوى من المنصة. قبل انضمامها لفيسبوك، شغلت بسمة منصب منتج أول في "سي إن إن"، وعملت سابقاً كمنتج أخبار في قناة الجزيرة الإنجليزية. بسمة حاصلة على عدد من الجوائز الصحافية لتغطيتها قصصاً إنسانية من الشرق الأوسط، وهي حاصلة على درجة الماجستير في حقوق الإنسان من جامعة لندن للسياسة والاقتصاد ودرجة البكالوريوس في العلوم السياسية من الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت.
