In this session, Transparency International’s Special Legal Council’s expert Alexander Papachristou and veteran Jordanian and Syrian media law experts Mohammad Qtishat and Rahada Abdoush will advise on how to deal with local, regional and international media laws that could be used against you by those angered by your work. They will share insight into how to make sure your investigative report is legally sound before you publish or broadcast, especially if you are being threatened by national security or privacy laws.

 يتحدث في هذه الجلسة خبير المخاطر القانونية في المجلس القانوني الخاص بمنظمة الشفافية الدولية ألكساندر باباخريستو                                    (Transparency International’s Special Legal Council) و الخبيرين المتخصّص في قانوني الإعلام الأردني محمد قطيشات والسوري رهادة  عبدوش. ويقدّم الفريق القانوني الدولي المشورة حول كيفية التعامل مع قوانين وسائل الإعلام المحلية والإقليمية والدولية كيما تنجح في  تفادي التعرض لمساءلة قانونية ردّا على تحقيقاتك. يتشارك المتحدثون الأفكار حول كيفية التأكّد من أن تقريرك الاستقصائي قانوني قبل نشره/  بثّه، بخاصة في حال تعرضّك للتهديد من أجهزة الأمن القومي أو وقعت في شباك قوانين الخصوصية.
