Abeer is a war correspondent, researcher, media consultant and trainer, with 28 years of professional experience covering events in conflict zones within the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. She has earned an international reputation for executing frontline operations in the field of media development and training in conflict zones. During her two terms as Vice President of The International Association of Women in Radio and Television, the IAWRT have carried out several activities in countries in Africa and Asia. Abeer also drafted a safety handbook for woman journalists that was published last November by IAWRT and UNESCO.
